Business Development Manager

Varsity Care Adult Health Services Bethesda, Maryland, United States (Hybrid)

Varsity Care is looking to aggressively expand its medical transportation business both organically through partnerships with transportation brokers and other payers as well as inorganically through acquisition. As our Business Developer Manager, your primary responsibility will be to identify and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and enhance the organization's market position. You will play a vital role in developing and evaluating potential acquisitions and other business development opportunities such as partnerships and alliances with industry participants. This position requires an understanding of the medical transportation industry, the ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with potential acquisition targets and strategic partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential M&A targets, perform preliminary due diligence and preliminary financial analysis/underwriting of M&A targets
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify targets, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities
  • Execute a calling program to develop new relationships in an effort to grow business, expand acquisition target pipeline and identify organic growth opportunities such as substantial contracts/RFPs
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities with transportation brokers, healthcare systems, insurance provider and other payers to drive organic growth
  • Post acquisition integration: Work with operating team to develop and implement post-merger integration plans, manage transition and realize cost saving/synergies
  • Prepare presentations for senior management and investors to evaluate acquisition opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 2-3 years' prior experience in corporate development, business development, or investment banking, preferably within the healthcare services or medical transportation industry
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills - ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to filter large amounts of data into useable and actionable information
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, valuation and deal structuring

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
